After a hat-trick of hits together - Namastey London, Welcome and Singh Is Kinng - Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif have once again been paired together for a Priyadarshan comedy, De Dana Dhan.
The film brings back the Hera Pheri team - of actors Akshay, Suneil Shetty and Paresh Rawal, and director Priyadarshan - together after 8 years.
The film will go on floors towards mid-October and a major chunk of the film will be shot in Singapore. Incidentally, Priyadarshan, just a few months back had started a sound recording studio in Singapore.
This film, to be produced by Venus, will be the fourth Priyadarshan film to feature Akshay Kumar since 2005, following Garam Masala (2005), Bhagam Bhag (2006), Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007).
The frequent pairing and good onscreen chemistry between Akshay and Katrina has worked wonders on screen.
During a recent media event for Singh Is Kinng, when we had asked Akshay about the onscreen chemistry between him and Katrina his response was, "We have given so many hits together why shouldn't we work together again."
Katrina had chipped in to say, "We share a bond. Uncle Akshay's been a great friend. He has been there from when I started out and did not know Hindi, did not know dancing, where the lights and camera were supposed to be, what I was meant to do. Every newcomer should work with him, he helps in every shot, and he lends support and gives confidence. He's a senior artiste and you respect a senior artiste."
